Service of Dedication
MABAS Division XII Chaplain Committee Training Headquarters
Leader One: Our God says,
"When, they call to me, I will answer them; I will be with them in
trouble." (Psalm 91:15) Let us pray to God saying, "Lord, be our
companion."
God has claimed us in this life and beyond
the grave, so that we may fearlessly endure danger and trouble in hope and in love.
Let us pray to God.
All: Lord, be our companion.
Leader Two: As God so loved the
world, so also may the love of God guide our actions in times of celebration
and in times of uncertainty. Let us pray to God.
Lord, be our companion.
Leader Three: As God calls us to be
peacemakers, may we extend peace to those who are suffering, afraid or alone.
Let us pray to God.
Lord, be our companion.
Leader One: The Almighty has
promised that every tear will be wiped away and death will be no more. We yearn
for a time we no more participate in anyone's grief or dying. Let us pray to
God.
Lord, be our companion.
Leader Two:
We dedicate this space to the One who called us to faithfully serve as Fire
Service Chaplains and Emergency Responders.
This special calling is not for everyone. We are humbled and thankful that it
is a calling for us.
Use this place, all knowing God,
to open our minds and learn to do your work in the world.
Use this place, all powerful
Creator,
to build roads of common mission for the good of your people.
Use this place ever present Spirit,
to strengthen our sense of duty, restoring our courage that we may walk into
any situation you send us, and bring your Presence to our communities.
Leader Three:
Hear the prayers of your servants, Lord…
(Individual prayers are offered)
Leader One:
May the Almighty God bless and protect this place and all who enter in.
In the Name of the One who is our Life, Protection and Hope.
And All God’s people said, “Amen!”
